There are many ways to find extra value from the supply chain
“How can we get the most value from every penny we spend?” is a challenging question, and one that demands an answer. Value can be difficult to measure but an increase in value is often equated to a reduction in cost. However, many other factors need to be put into the value equation: need, quality and sustainability, for example, and a good way of looking for ways to increase value is to consider what tools you have to influence value – value levers.
Some of these are shown in the diagram, grouped according to whether you look at getting more out of sourcing, managing demand, improving processes or directly managing other aspects of value.
When looking for ways to find extra value, these value levers can be a great starting place.
